Melissa Suffield eastenders partner baby now Instagram, rejects OnlyFans
OnlyFans was turned down by EastEnders star Melissa Suffield, who said, "I don't want people to pay to gain confidence."
Former EastEnders star and social media influencer Melissa Suffield has been talking about why she won't join the OnlyFans service.
The actress, who played Lucy Beale on the BBC One soap, has a parenting blog and encourages her followers to be themselves by posting body-positive messages on Instagram.
Melissa's Instagram is very popular, but she has said she has no plans to grow her platform on OnlyFans. OnlyFans is a site where users can only see content if they pay, which is something the actress isn't interested in.
"I just don't want to charge people for my content, so it's not for me." She told the Daily Star, "I don't want people to have to pay to gain confidence."
"I don't want to charge people who have specifically told me, "Your content helps me, and I needed this today," because I know they'll use it. I don't know about you, but that seems kind of gross to me.
She also said, "I might be dancing around in my underwear on Instagram, but I'm trying to break this taboo that says women in underwear are only for sex, that's all it is, it's pornographic, it's just sex."
"I'm doing everything I can to be the complete opposite of that."
Melissa has given birth to her son River since she left EastEnders in 2010. She often writes about River's life on her parenting blog, "The Confident Mama."
Sarah Jayne Dunn, who used to be on the soap opera Hollyoaks, has a very popular profile on OnlyFans.
Last year, the actress quit playing Mandy Richardson because she wouldn't close the account.
As her popularity kept growing, the star bought herself some £850 Jimmy Choo heels with her salary in December.
