Since pornographic photographs of her surfaced online, a physics instructor has resigned from her position. Bannerman High School teacher Kirsty Buchan, 33, resigned after students at the school in Baillieston, Glasgow, gained access to sexually explicit photos on her Only Fans website.
Glasgow City Council's education officials received numerous angry complaints from parents, prompting an investigation. The school was in the news this week because teachers went on strike about harassment they face from students, but the teacher left before disciplinary procedures could begin.
One concerned parent who reached out to the Record said, "The strike was in national news, but all the local conversation has been about Miss Buchan's other work." The pictures have spread like wildfire, and parents are discussing them on Whatsapp. Her provocative postures for Only Fans were completely explicit. While some parents found video humorous, others have voiced concern over the kids' "extreme stances."
Miss Buchan has tried her hand at acting in the past, appearing in a few minor roles and promoting herself on various acting websites.
Apparently very intelligent and with an interest in amateur dramatics, she is the last person you would expect to be a science teacher, as stated by the source. This week, NASUWT members will go on strike because, according to the union, "adequate progress has not been made in combating aggressive and abusive pupil behavior." The union claimed to have achieved some victories, but also claimed that the council threatened teachers with pay cuts if they refused to remain in the classroom with a student who posed a threat to their safety.
"This teacher was under investigation before giving her retirement following the widespread circulation of utterly inappropriate and pornographic photos," a representative for Glasgow City Council stated.
A teacher who has actively pursued a second income on this type of website brings discredit to their institution, the council, and their profession.
